    Bink bink. Great video. Very informative and makes this job appear achievable for any ability level. Rebuiding a turbo was something I thought best left for the professionals before watching this video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

    Are you planning on doing any more mods to your truck? I have a 95 and 96 7.3 and your videos have been by the far the most helpful on the turbo and fuel bowl rebuilds.

    Im amazed to how clean your engine bay is. That truck looks brand new. Have your hoses leading to the FPR to the front of the heads started to leak yet? Hit up a hydrauliuc hose plase for replacements. And you could of ordered all new hoses from Diesel orings as well. The high quailty blue stuff.

    Top end oil consists of 3 qts in the top of the engine. 1 qt in the resevior that runs the high pressure oil pump and each cyl head holds 1 qt. changing this oil and adding prolong is amazing for the truck. Look up top end oil change here on you tube. It males the truck run and start a hundred times better. Plus the throttle response is like night and day!

    Got my Efuel conversion done, the fuel pressure sensor died so I don't know what pressure I have at WOT but it runs smoother than it did before... Check my videos I uploaded a few, the first start was even easy, noone is going to have it that easy putting on a stock mechanical pump.

  • @PatrickBaptist
    @PatrickBaptist 11 років тому

    Got the IPR pigtail replaced and it fired right up. I'll be posting videos by this weekend about the conversion. My IPR was in rough shape I had a better looking one on my spare engine so I took the opportunity to swap them.

    My truck is bone stock except a 3"DP and DYI intake and CCV relocate. When I bought it the auto tranny was burned up, I did the ZF5 conversion on it and I love it! If the 1 pump will not do, I've read others running dual efuel pumps which isn't a big deal, but I have stock fuel sticks and turbo so there should be plenty of pressure in my application.

  • @PatrickBaptist
    @PatrickBaptist 11 років тому

    I'm just about to go for my first drive with the conversion done in a few hours, I just got my IPR pigtail that was all melted. I've tested my pump and lines to 100psi (my gauge max) so I doubt it will have any trouble keeping up since it is basically the same as a 99+ SD with the 7.3. I'm doing videos of mine, only one I have posted is of the actual fuel leaking from the old mechanical pump, in the vid I have a link to my write up. watch?v=uDzbrcWr1MA

    I'm doing a efuel on my 97 7.3, I didn't go with the banjo block as I read in forums that it was prone to leaking later. I reused the steel 1/4" fuel lines that feed the rear heads but I removed the banjo fitting and put a AN fitting with a flaring tool. Just waiting on a pigtail for my IPR, it was burnt up with the 3 fuel bowl wires, all 5 wires were bare and touching, it's beyond me how the truck was still running, and I was towing with it too.

  • @PatrickBaptist
    @PatrickBaptist 11 років тому

    You could go the EFuel route and remove the stock fuel pump and fuel bowl, I'm in the process of finishing mine up right now, just waiting on a new IPR pigtail so I can fix the burnt wires. Working around the turbo is a pain, but taking the turbo off with the engine in the truck is even more of a pain.

  • @PatrickBaptist

    1 1/4" box wrench and I was able to remove mine without removing the turbo, easy.

    Thanks for making the how to vids, but as youre doing these jobs it would be a good idea to go more in depth into the removal and installation process instead of turning off the camera , doing the work then start filming again. It would be alot more helpful for people out there who are looking at these vids for learning purposes. Just a thought!!!

    Great series of videos! Thanks for posting. I am new to the world of Power Stroke owners. Just bought a 96 F-250. Your vids give me the confidence to tear into this thing myself. Do you see any performance increase or is this mainly one less thing to crap out on older PSD? Approximately what is the cost to rebuild your turbo? Thanks again.
